We spent our vacation diving with Shaahu, Zafar, Richard and their crew for about two weeks & very impressed both below and above the water.
The crew is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful even to divers who might not be at their fittest. The operation is remarkably well organized and timed, without the slightest hint of stress on board and the guiding during the dives was very impressive. We felt taken care of perfectly all around.
Based on a recommendation, we chose the Shark Expedition Dive Center. And if there were a rating higher than 'excellent,' the guides and the entire crew would definitely deserve an 'outstanding'! The boat trips to the different dive sites were usually short, and we were lucky to always be in a small group of just 3 to 6 divers—simply luxurious.
During the dives, we were accompanied by highly professional and very experienced guides, and it was refreshing to see that they did not arm themselves with sticks to fend off tiger sharks, as some other guides do. Our Shark Expedition guides treated these magnificent animals with respect and reverence. Diving with the team at Shark Expedition was an unforgettable experience for which I am deeply grateful. So, my highest recommendation goes to Shark Expedition!
On recommendation, we decided to go to the Shark Expedition dive center. And if there were more than “excellent” in the review, the guides and the entire crew deserved at least one “excellent”! The boat trips to the various dive sites were usually only short and we were lucky enough that we were only ever a small group of 3 to 6 divers – just luxurious.
Fuvahmulah truly is world class diving and this Dive center will offer the ultimate experience to discover all of it. I booked 24 dives, 8 of which were Tiger Shark dives, and all I can say is: Wow!
The dive center will take care of everything for you; every night you get a text with the dive schedule, they pick you up from the hotel and will have your dive gear ready once you come aboard. They give clear briefings and will happily assist you with everything. Every day they check the currents very carefully before choosing the dive spots. On a few days I was the only diver and they still went the extra mile to make every dive special. We saw Tigers every day with numbers going up to 15 per dive!
Their boat is the most comfortable I’ve experienced. It has everything you need; fresh water shower, camera cleaning station, toilets, sun deck and lots of space to walk around. Compared to other dive centers on the island, SE clearly has the most comfortable boat.
Mr Shaah, Zayan, Zaff, Jewal and the Captain all are people you can really feel safe with. You can see they all love their island and they are also really fun to hang around with. All the Tiger shark dives were spectacular and yet I felt safe all the time. I noticed the crew is very well attuned to each other and they treat the sharks with respect.
Shark Experience gave me an unforgettable time and I will definitely book with them again in the near future.
